How we approach advanced wound care

Good wound care is not one product. It is a coordinated plan that treats the wound and the reasons it is not healing. When appropriate and medically indicated, we focus on the factors that commonly delay closure.

Simple blood flow check when needed

Patients with foot or lower extremity wounds may undergo an Ankle Brachial Index test to assess blood flow to the legs and feet.

Comprehensive wound evaluation We assess location, size, depth, drainage, tissue quality, and signs of infection. Cleaning, cultures when indicated, and dressing application may be performed.

Identify healing barriers We evaluate swelling, pressure, circulation concerns, diabetes related changes, and repeated irritation that can keep a wound from closing.

Build a practical care plan Your plan may include wound bed preparation, appropriate dressings, advanced wound coverings when indicated, and a follow up schedule that keeps progress moving.

Monitor and adjust Chronic wounds require consistency. We track progress with photographs and measurements and adjust care to keep the wound moving toward closure.

Collection of “fat” messenger signaling cells and bone marrow messenger signaling cells can be done very comfortably and with very little or no pain with proper numbing techniques. Currently, the FDA allows the above “same day procedures” or injection therapies under FDA rule 21 CFR 1271.15.  The FDA has approved a very few injectable commercial regenerative products under FDA rule 21 CFR 1271.10 mostly wound care products for homologous use with skin problems such as burns and wounds.
