Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) with Enhanced Personal, Proprietary, High-Dose, Hyper-Concentrated Bio-Modulated Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
A Safer, Smarter Solution for PTSD, Chronic Pain, Long COVID & More
At Kentuckiana Integrative Medicine, we offer an advanced, regenerative approach to the Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) using a Personal, Proprietary, Bio-modulated, Hyper-concentrated, High-dose Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Block—delivering superior results with minimal to no risk.
What Is a Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB)?
A Stellate Ganglion Block is a targeted injection at the base of the neck that calms the sympathetic nervous system, often referred to as the “fight or flight” system. By resetting this overactive sympathetic system, the standard SGB Stellate Ganglion Block can significantly reduce symptoms in conditions involving pain, inflammation, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression and emotional trauma. Our proprietary PRP SGB injection is far SAFER and more effective.
Standard vs. PRP-Enhanced SGB
Traditional SGB uses local anesthetics, which carry risks such as:
- Seizures (from intravascular injection)
- Drooping eyelid, hoarseness, or swallowing difficulty
- Pneumothorax (collapsed lung)
- Short-term symptom relief
Our Approach: SGB with PRP
We inject autologous [from your blood] Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) directly around the stellate ganglion under ultrasound guidance. PRP contains natural growth factors and healing proteins that:
- Promote nerve healing and autonomic nervous system balance
- Deliver longer-lasting symptom relief
- Reduce inflammation naturally
- Eliminate risks associated with synthetic anesthetics like LIDOCAINE
This is not just a nerve block—it’s a regenerative therapy that restores balance to the nervous system.
Conditions Treated with SGB + PRP
- PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Long COVID and autonomic dysfunction
- Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)
- Post-concussion syndrome / TBI
- Raynaud’s disease
- Phantom limb pain
- Fibromyalgia and central sensitization
- Hot flashes and hormonal dysregulation
- Migraines and head/neck pain syndromes
Why PRP Makes All the Difference
Your blood. Your healing. No drugs. No downtime.
We use personalized high-concentration PRP derived from your own blood to ensure safety and compatibility. This innovation allows us to perform SGBs without the risk of local anesthetic toxicity, while encouraging your body’s own neuroregenerative potential.
In our experience, the larger the dose of PRP, the better the results—far exceeding the temporary relief of standard anesthetic-based SGBs.

Dr. Cruz is trained, and we offer a unique superpowered Stellate Ganglion Blocks – SGB with a proprietary Photo-biomodulated Hyper-concentrated, High Dose Platelet Rich Plasma with Procaine and B vitamins that is far MORE EFFECTIVE and EXTREMELY SAFE in comparison to the standard Lidocaine Stellate Ganglion Block-SGB. Stellate Ganglion Blocks have the ability of calming the autonomic nervous system. Stellate Ganglion Blocks can reset your sympathetic nervous system helping you to be less hyper-vigilant, calmer and more joyful. They are especially helpful in TRD Treatment Resistant Depression and PTSD. We are unaware of any other clinic offering this type of Stellate Ganglion Block. Best response is when this service is received 1x per week x 3 weeks. Cost is $ 3,000 per injection or 3 sessions for $7,500 saving $1,500.
Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB)
Standard Approach, Indications, and Complications
Standard Approach:
A Stellate Ganglion Block is typically performed under ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance, targeting the cervical sympathetic chain at the level of C6–C7, near the Chassaignac’s tubercle. The procedure involves injecting a local anesthetic adjacent to the stellate ganglion, which lies anterior to the transverse process of C6 and near the longus colli muscle and carotid sheath structures.
Indications:
- Neuropathic pain syndromes, including Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) of the upper limb
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Hot flashes and vasomotor symptoms in menopausal women
- Refractory migraines
- Facial pain or atypical facial neuralgias
- Post-COVID autonomic dysfunction / Long COVID
- Phantom limb pain
- Raynaud’s disease or other sympathetically maintained vascular issues
Standard Complications:
- Inadvertent intravascular injection (e.g., carotid, vertebral, or epidural space)
- Seizures from intravascular anesthetic
- Pneumothorax (rare but serious)
- Horner’s syndrome (often transient and expected)
- Hoarseness due to recurrent laryngeal nerve involvement
- Dysphagia
- Hematoma or bleeding, especially in anticoagulated patients
- Infection
Our Advanced Approach: SGB with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
At our clinic, we perform a regenerative Stellate Ganglion Block using high-concentration Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) instead of standard local anesthetics.
Advantages of PRP-enhanced SGB:
- Extremely low complication risk – No risk of local anesthetic toxicity, seizures, or systemic sympathetic crashes
- Longer-lasting effects – PRP supports neuroregeneration and autonomic rebalancing at the ganglionic level
- Biocompatibility – Autologous material reduces immune reactions or adverse effects
- Enhanced outcomes in PTSD, CRPS, long COVID, and complex sympathetic pain conditions
Safety Note:
Because we avoid neurotoxic anesthetics and use ultrasound-guided precision, complications such as pneumothorax, vascular injection, or vocal cord paralysis are virtually eliminated. PRP’s anti-inflammatory and healing properties further reduce any risk of post-injection irritation or scarring.
