Physician Training & Clinical Evolution
Dr. Rafael Cruz, MD, received formal training in perispinal etanercept (PSE) therapy under Edward Tobinick, MD, an internist who pioneered this innovative treatment approach.
Dr. Cruz’s medical background includes training in emergency medicine, anesthesia, and complex procedural care—disciplines that demand precision, advanced injection techniques, and the management of medically complex patients. While completing his anesthesia residency, Dr. Cruz simultaneously pursued advanced education in integrative and regenerative medicine.
Over time, Dr. Cruz recognized that combining his extensive procedural expertise with regenerative and integrative therapies could significantly support neurological recovery outcomes. He integrates comprehensive neuro-rehabilitation, advanced physical therapy, and regenerative injection therapies, including other supportive therapies where appropriate.
Dr. Cruz continues to engage in ongoing training nationally and internationally and practices independently, applying an evolving, patient-centered approach grounded in both experience, innovation, and science.
Dr. Cruz’s clinical philosophy emphasizes continual learning, ethical independence, and individualized patient care. His work reflects the natural evolution of medical innovation—building upon foundational training while responsibly advancing treatment strategies to meet the complex needs of today’s neurological patients.
